Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 23, 2026
Our commitment
A&A Family Pharmacy is committed to making our pharmacy and our website accessible to people with disabilities. We design and build aafamilypharmacy.com to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we work continuously to improve. We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all patients and visitors, including people with disabilities, and we apply the relevant accessibility standards as they evolve.
Standards
We target conformance with WCAG 2.2, Level AA, which includes WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements plus newer WCAG 2.2 criteria such as target size minimum and focus-not-obscured behavior. We monitor developments under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, and the HHS Section 504 rule (89 FR 40066), and we plan to meet applicable compliance milestones — including the small-recipient May 10, 2027 deadline under the HHS Section 504 web/mobile standard where it applies to us.
What we do
Our measures include:
- Semantic HTML, keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators, and logical heading structure
- Descriptive alternative text on informational images
- Sufficient color contrast (our primary green and blue are tested for WCAG AA)
- Support for screen readers; forms with proper labels and error messages
- Respect for users' reduced-motion preferences
- We do not use accessibility overlay widgets; we remediate issues natively

In-pharmacy accessibility
Our pharmacy counter is accessible and our staff provides reasonable accommodations on request, including accessible prescription container labels (large print, audible, or braille where available), private medication counseling, and language assistance. Call (954) 987-5230 to arrange accommodations in advance when possible.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA — particularly third-party content (embedded maps or documents) and legacy PDFs. If you encounter a barrier, tell us and we will provide the information in an accessible alternative format promptly.
